Details of the Job/Internship

Tata Communications is hiring a Manager – Corporate Legal (Telecommunications/Commtech Regulatory Specialist) with 5+ years of experience to join their office in Mumbai. The role involves handling international and domestic telecommunications and commtech regulatory matters across multiple countries.

Role and Responsibilities

• Handle telecommunications regulatory licensing and compliance.
• Assist senior regulatory counsels in advising commercial counsels, business functions, and product managers on regulatory matters.
• Provide input on regulatory sections of commercial and partnership transactions, including RFPs.
• Review and support the launch of new products and services.
• Prepare regulatory reports (internal and external).
• Interact and negotiate with government officials, external counsels, customers, and suppliers under senior counsels’ guidance.

Eligibility

• Law degree (LL.B. or BA/BBA/BSc LL.B. or equivalent, full-time) from a recognized law school.
• 5+ years of relevant experience with a telecommunications/commtech company or in TMT at a major law firm.
• Knowledge of general telecommunications regulatory and corporate law.
• Basic understanding of emerging technologies such as IoT, CPaaS, CaaS, and cloud-based services.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple matters.
• Collaborative approach across international jurisdictions and time zones.
• Engineering background is a plus.
• Familiarity with accounting principles is a plus.
• Telecommunications/commtech contracting experience is a plus.

Salary/Stipend
