Details of the Job/Internship
Lowe’s India is hiring a Manager – Data Privacy (Legal) with a minimum of 8 years of post-qualification experience to join their legal team in Bengaluru.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice on global data protection laws for various departments.
- Draft and monitor privacy policies and compliance procedures.
- Promote a data protection culture through training and awareness.
- Maintain records of data privacy compliance and guide incident response.
- Conduct privacy risk assessments and manage impact analyses.
- Draft and review privacy and security clauses in contracts.
- Support the Privacy Office in addressing regulatory queries and internal processes.
- Help manage global privacy strategies, especially within Indian operations.
- Adhere to legal department procedures and compliance frameworks.
Eligibility
- LL.B. required; US LLM and CIPP/US certification preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of legal experience in US privacy, security, or compliance law.
- Prior in-house counsel or law firm experience in global data privacy issues.
