Details of the Job/Internship
M.C. Jain & Co. is hiring a Manager – Direct Tax Litigation with a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience to join their office in Dadar West, Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Oversee direct tax litigation, including assessments, appeals, and representation before tax authorities.
- Provide expert advice on direct tax planning, compliance, and dispute resolution.
- Conduct research on tax laws, regulations, and case law to support litigation strategies.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships and provide tailored tax solutions.
- Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering collaboration and high performance.
- Prepare and review legal documents, petitions, replies, and submissions to tax authorities.
- Develop and implement effective litigation strategies to achieve favorable client outcomes.
- Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and case law to advise clients and team members.
Eligibility
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, or related field (LLB preferred).
- Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience in direct tax litigation or advisory roles.
- Strong understanding of direct tax laws and regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
