Details of the Job/Internship
HARMAN India is hiring a Manager II - Legal Counsel with over 12 years of experience to join their legal team in Bengaluru.
Role and Responsibilities
- Independently handle litigation strategy and execution.
- Draft and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts including service, licensing, and vendor agreements.
- Offer legal counsel on regulatory, compliance, and corporate governance issues.
- Support cross-functional teams including finance, HR, product, and engineering.
- Coordinate with external counsel and represent the company in legal matters.
- Maintain legal MIS systems and ensure accurate document management.
- Contribute to internal legal resources and process improvement.
- Participate in contract template development and compliance playbook updates.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B).
- 12+ years of legal experience, preferably in IT services or a technology-based corporate environment.
- Experience in areas like data privacy, anti-bribery, FIDIC contracts, and competition law is desirable.
- Strong legal acumen, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
