Details of the Job/Internship
Navi is hiring a Manager-Insurance Operations & Litigation to join their office in Bengaluru.
Role and Responsibilities
- Case & Litigation Management: Manage insurance disputes referred to the Ombudsman & any legal forum, ensuring compliance with regulatory timelines. Represent the company in hearings, preparing legal documents (SCNs, responses, etc.) and presenting arguments.
- Legal & Strategic Guidance: Provide legal advice on Ombudsman-related matters and collaborate with internal teams (Claims, Legal, Compliance) for accurate case handling.
- Compliance & Reporting: Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory standards, staying informed about industry regulations. Generate reports on policy issuance, cancellations, and renewals, providing insights into operational performance and KPIs.
- Data Management: Maintain comprehensive & accurate records of policyholders, claims, litigation particulars and underwriting data for informed decision-making.
- Process Improvement: Suggest and implement process improvements to streamline case handling, documentation, communication and win rates.
- Team Management & Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams such as Claims, Legal, and Compliance to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues efficiently. Provide support and guidance to team members, ensuring that the team is operating effectively and meeting performance goals.
Eligibility
- Education: Graduate in any discipline (Law degree preferred)
- Proven experience in operations, insurance litigation, Ombudsman cases, or similar legal roles.
- Familiarity with regulatory bodies like the Insurance Ombudsman is desirable.
- Proficient in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook) for data collation and analysis.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to assess information and draw logical conclusions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
- Organized and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
- Creative, solution-oriented mindset with strategic thinking capabilities.
