Details of the Job/Internship
BDO India LLP is hiring a Manager – Legal (Audit Regulatory) with experience of 8–12 years to join their office in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Advise the audit department on regulatory requirements, legal risks, and policy implications.
- Monitor developments from regulatory bodies such as NFRA, ICAI, SEBI, RBI, MCA, etc., and interpret their impact on audit operations.
- Draft or review audit-related legal opinions, internal policies, and procedural documents.
- Liaise with external counsel and regulatory bodies as needed.
- Provide legal support on matters related to audit clients with regulatory or compliance questions.
- Support compliance reviews and regulatory inspections with legal input.
- Partner with the risk and compliance team on controls design and implementation.
- Deliver trainings and briefings to the audit team on regulatory updates.
- Prepare and present legal reports and regulatory summaries to senior stakeholders.
Eligibility
- LLB is mandatory.
- CS or LLM preferred.
- 8–12 years of experience in legal roles, with a focus on audit regulatory work in top consulting firms or leading law firms.
