ANSR is hiring for the position of Manager - Legal & Company Secretary with 12-15 years of experience to join them in their Bengaluru office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Offering expert legal advice, training, and assistance to departments such as human resources, finance, IT, admin, and corporate services on contractual matters.
- Reviewing and negotiating complex vendor contracts spanning all lines of business.
- Providing legal support to the HR team on employee-related disciplinary and grievance matters, POSH complaints, ethics and corruption concerns, as well as disputes and litigations involving employees.
- Assisting in the assessment of the impact of evolving legal and statutory regulations relevant to the business function, ensuring timely highlighting of these changes, and contributing to the business planning process.
- Overseeing end-to-end compliance with the Companies Act, LLP Act, FEMA, and maintaining vigilance over overall compliance.
- Managing statutory registers, filings with ROC/RD/other relevant authorities, and coordinating with other departments to ensure compliance.
- Providing corporate secretarial support as needed.
- The ability to work autonomously while effectively communicating laterally and upwardly within the organization.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to navigate and address complex issues with various stakeholders.
- Experience managing projects involving diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Custodianship of corporate records, statutory books, and registers.
- Willingness to collaborate as a team player within the legal team and other departments when necessary.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment, managing tasks and delivering results efficiently.
Eligibility
- A minimum of 12 to 15 years of combined post-qualification experience as a Counsel and Company Secretary.
- Prior in-house experience with a large multinational organization, preferably in the services sector.
- Experience working with US businesses would be advantageous.
- A Bachelor of Law (LL.B) from a reputable law school or university.
- Associate/Fellow Company Secretary (ACS/FCS) qualification.
Salary/Stipend
