Details of the Job/Internship

D. E. Shaw India Private Limited is hiring for the position of Manager - Legal (Legal & Compliance) with experience of 5-7 years to join their office in Hyderabad.

Role and Responsibilities

• The candidatewill be required to independently review, draft, and negotiate a variety of commercial and other types of contracts and lead discussions with the counterparties.
• The candidate will be expected to work closely with the human capital, finance, and operations teams, among others, to help facilitate the contract review process.
• The candidate will also get the opportunity to devise processes relating to contract review, draft various contract templates, and assist with legal research.
• This role also involves providing legal advice on a broad range of employment law matters for the Indian region.
• The candidate will be expected to monitor legislation and regulations relating to employment laws and provide proactive advice.

Eligibility

• The ideal candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in law, along with 5 to 7 years of relevant work experience with a proven aptitude for efficiently handling contract drafting and negotiations and experience in employment laws.
• Candidates should have detailed knowledge of Indian employment laws and commercial contract laws.
• Candidates with a master’s degree will be preferred.
• The candidate should be self-motivated, result-oriented, a quick learner, have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, be attentive to details, and manage deadlines.
• The candidate should have excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills.
