Details of the Job/Internship

Aerem is hiring for the position of Manager- Legal (NBFC) with 4-5 years of experience to join their office in Mumbai. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Legal Documentation & Advisory:
• Draft, review, and negotiate legal notices, complaints, loan agreements, and other legal documents.
• Provide strategic legal guidance on business operations, compliance, and contractual obligations.
• Litigation & Dispute Management:
• Manage the company’s litigation portfolio and ensure timely resolution of disputes.
• Develop and execute strategies for dispute resolution, including court matters, arbitrations, and settlements.
• Coordinate with empaneled lawyers and manage external counsel for litigation and recovery matters.
• Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management:
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, especially in NBFC and renewable energy sectors.
• Develop policies aligned with evolving RBI guidelines, including KYC/AML, capital adequacy, and reporting norms.
• Recovery & Asset Management:
• Advise recovery teams on legal procedures regarding asset possession and debt recovery.
• Manage legal proceedings involving case filings, warrants, summons, and arbitrations.
• Support recovery strategies by offering legal insight into settlements and compliance.
• Policy Development & Strategic Initiatives:
• Lead the creation and standardization of legal and operational policies in line with RBI regulations.
• Optimize processes related to legal filings, document retrieval, and arbitration to reduce TAT.
• Contribute to organizational policies aimed at strengthening compliance and industry best practices.

Eligibility

• Education: LLB required; LLM preferred.
• Experience: 4–5 years in NBFCs, renewable energy, or financial services.
• Strong experience in drafting legal documents, litigation management, and structuring financial deals.
• Comprehensive knowledge of corporate, financial, and NBFC regulatory laws.

Salary/Stipend
