Details of the Job/Internship
Danone India is hiring a Legal Counsel to act as a strategic legal business partner for the designated business category.
Role and Responsibilities
- Review and approve legally compliant advertising material, including claims and promotions.
- Advise on de-risking the product portfolio from innovation to claim substantiation.
- Manage complaints filed against the company and challenge unfair competition claims.
- Handle litigation and legal notices related to the business category.
- Draft and vet contracts and agreements, including transaction and business support agreements.
- Respond to high-risk consumer complaints.
- Monitor statutory compliance and advise management on applicable laws and policies.
- Provide advisory support on Intellectual Property Rights.
- Support secretarial functions and assist the Company Secretary in day-to-day corporate matters.
Eligibility
- LLB qualification, with CS qualification preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in a legal department, preferably in the FMCG industry.
- Strong understanding of regulatory, compliance, and commercial legal matters.
