Details of the Job/Internship

Asian Paints is hiring a Manager - Legal with 8+ years of experience in contract management to join their office in Mumbai. The role involves handling legal requirements of international business, project sales, and services, providing proactive and commercially relevant legal services.

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate, and close agreements and warranty documents while minimizing company risks.
• Handle tender-related documents and prepare risk notes for management discussion.
• Participate in negotiation of key business contracts and coordinate with internal stakeholders for timely closure.
• Manage end-to-end legal aspects of assigned business transactions.
• Prepare agreement MIS, track renewals, and ensure proper execution and storage of original agreements.
• Work on contract management portals and maintain contract repository.
• Collaborate with compliance teams to ensure 100% compliance for new businesses.
• Streamline and implement legal processes as per company standards.
• Serve as a SPOC for new businesses in IPR, agreement, litigation, and property matters.
• Conduct legal research on applicable international laws and relevant judgments.
• Provide training to internal teams on business agreements and SOPs.
• Advise business verticals on various legal matters, coordinate with external lawyers and foreign law firms, and support international business units.

Eligibility

• LLB/LLM full-time from a recognised university.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in contract management.
