Details of the Job/Internship

Azure Power is hiring a Legal Manager – Land & Real Estate with experience of 8+ years to join their team.

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft and vet agreements including agreement to sell, sale deeds, lease deeds, NOC, and POA.
• Assist in registration and mutation of land and property documents.
• Examine title deeds and verify government and revenue records.
• Advise on stamp duty and registration requirements.
• Coordinate with lawyers and consultants for land verification and procurement.
• Maintain and update legal and commercial documentation records.
• Obtain approvals and clearances from government and local authorities.
• Liaise with authorities such as SECI, MNRE, DISCOMs, Panchayat, Tehsildar, and registrar offices.
• Handle civil and criminal litigation related to land matters.
• Liaise with external legal counsels and review their work.
• Address on-ground issues such as protests by local stakeholders.
• Prepare and maintain MIS and provide regular updates on legal matters.

Eligibility

• LL.B. with 8+ years of experience in land-related legal matters.
• Proven experience in land litigation (civil and criminal) and advisory.
• Preferably from solar, wind, or similar industry, or law firms handling land matters.
• Strong knowledge of land laws across different states.
• Experience in dealing with landowners, farmers, and revenue authorities.
• Strong network with local lawyers across India.

Salary/Stipend

Compensation details will be finalized during the interview process with the selected candidate.
