Details of the Job/Internship

Birlasoft is hiring for the position of Legal Manager with 6-9 years of experience to join their office in Noida. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide legal advisory support, contract review, and negotiation across a range of agreements, including:
  • Master Service Agreements (MSAs)
  • Software Licensing Agreements
  • Implementation and IT Support Agreements
  • Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
• Teaming/Reseller Agreements, NDAs, SOWs, Change Orders, and Amendments.
• Lead end-to-end contract negotiations with both vendors and customers.
• Conduct legal due diligence, support audits and investigations, and collaborate with the Risk & Compliance team.
• Develop SOPs, standardized templates, and process documentation.
• Deliver training to junior team members (L1, L2, L3) on contract management and legal compliance.
• Serve as a Privacy and Data Protection coach, ensuring alignment with laws across regions including India, US, Europe, and APAC.
• Liaise with the InfoSec team to review privacy clauses and compliance strategies.
• Oversee a legal team, conducting quality reviews and managing workflow.
• Advise internal stakeholders and manage engagement with external counsel as needed.
• Support dispute resolution, arbitration, and bankruptcy proceedings.

Eligibility

• 6–8 years of relevant experience as an in-house legal counsel, preferably in the IT or manufacturing sectors.
• Strong experience in contract negotiation, legal advisory, and regulatory compliance.
• Solid understanding of data privacy regulations, including GDPR and other global privacy frameworks.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a legal team effectively.
