Details of the Job/Internship

boAt Lifestyle is hiring a Legal Manager with 8+ years of experience in litigation and regulatory compliance to join their office in Andheri, Mumbai. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all litigation matters including civil, commercial, consumer, labour, and regulatory.
• Draft, review, and vet pleadings, notices, and legal documentation.
• Liaise with external counsels, law firms, and regulatory authorities.
• Represent the company before courts, tribunals, and quasi-judicial bodies.
• Maintain litigation trackers, MIS, and provide regular updates to management.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, industry standards, and statutory requirements.
• Interpret and advise on new regulations impacting the business.
• Develop and implement compliance policies, SOPs, and monitoring mechanisms.
• Conduct risk assessments and audits for regulatory adherence.
• Liaise with regulators, authorities, and industry bodies.
• Provide strategic advice on litigation strategy and regulatory risks.
• Support business teams with preventive actions to reduce disputes and penalties.
• Drive legal awareness across functions to foster a compliance-first culture.

Eligibility

• LLB from a reputed institute; LLM preferred.
• 8+ years of post-qualification experience in litigation and regulatory compliance.
• Minimum 4+ years of experience in litigation.
• Minimum 1+ year of experience in regulatory compliance.
• Prior in-house corporate legal experience in FMCG, FMCD, or consumer electronics preferred.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management and problem-solving approach.
