Details of the Job/Internship

BookMyShow is hiring a Manager-Legal with experience of 8 to 9 years to join their office in Mumbai.

Role and Responsibilities

• Assist in handling all legal aspects of BookMyShow’s live events business.
• Regular communication with business units to help identify and address legal issues associated with technology, digital products, digital content, integrated marketing, and programming across the BMS platforms.
•  Advise and provide legal advice on a wide spectrum of contract, technology, corporate, advertising, intellectual property, corporate, m&a, and privacy-related issues.
• Analyse and interpret legal contracts and provide sound legal advice on potential risks and issues;
• Liaise and coordinate with internal business and support departments and strategy groups to help identify, advise on and address legal issues associated with the live events business;
• Support the Legal and Business with ongoing work streams including compliance, process improvement, template development, and the use of technology to increase efficiencies.

Eligibility

• LLB/LLM from a reputed Law School, CS degree will be an added advantage.
• 8-9 years of prior legal experience in a top-tier law firm or an e-commerce entity/event. management company as a lawyer in an independent contributor capacity.
• Drafting and negotiation skills. Superior ability to assess risk and determine priorities based on timely risk assessment as well as the needs of the internal teams;
• Ability to assess business processes, understand business requirements, scope of contract, etc. [Familiarity with the live events business - helpful but not necessary];
• Ability to function autonomously, quickly understand and learn new skill sets and new areas of practice; 
• Excellent business & legal judgment. Superior ability to assess risk and determine priorities based on that risk assessment as well as the needs of the business
• Exceptionally strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to tailor communication styles to diverse audiences.
• Outstanding organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and complete them on time.
• High on integrity and commitment.
