Details of the Job/Internship
CapitaLand Group (CapitaLand) is opening a job post of Manager - Legal at their Chennai office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft Term contracts, service agreements, deeds and contracts, as per the requirement.
- Analyze contracts, reassess & finalize contracts to eliminate liability & reduce risk.
- Implement quality procedures and systems, identify areas of improvements, introduce modification, suggest improvement in existing processes, attain & maintain International standards.
- Liaison with government agencies and departments
- Provide legal advice and counsel within area of expertise to functional or operational area managers to ensure that their current or proposed activities, policies, business practices, and transactions comply with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Review legal analyses and technical reports and make recommendations to senior management on how to respond to legal issues or proposed changes in laws and regulations.
- Litigation Management
- Conduct and complete AML check on prospective clients.
- Appraise clients on statutory requirements, follow-up with Govt. bodies, seek clarifications, to ensure adherence to all the statutes.
- Assist in due diligence, title investigations.

- Ability to deliver, lead, excite/challenge and affirm/encourage to achieve the organisation’s objectives.
- Fluent communication - oral/ written and good presentation skills.
- Ability to take ownership.
- Should be a team player, and have problem-solving, analytical skills and strong networking skills.
