Cushman & Wakefield is hiring for the position of Manager - Legal with 10 years of experience to join their office in Gurugram.
Role and Responsibilities
- 1. Contract Management
- Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of contracts including NDAs, MOUs/LOIs, Lease Deeds, Consultancy Agreements, Design & Build Contracts, Project Management Agreements, and Property Maintenance Agreements.
- Ensure all contracts are aligned with business goals and mitigate legal risks.
- Handle closure of agreements during client interactions and ensure timely execution.
- 2. Litigation Management
- Coordinate with external legal counsel and internal teams for litigation matters.
- Maintain litigation trackers, monitor case progress, and regularly update global legal teams.
- 3. Corporate Governance
- Manage all aspects of corporate secretarial work in coordination with company secretaries and external legal advisors.
- Ensure timely issuance of board notices, drafting of resolutions, finalization of minutes, and compliance with MCA filings.
- 4. Regulatory Compliance
- Monitor and advise on applicable legal and regulatory changes relevant to the real estate industry.
- Provide legal support on employment and labor law matters.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and coordinate with the Legal Head on strategic regulatory issues.
- 5. Cross-functional Coordination
- Liaise with business units, operations, and support teams to address legal queries, draft responses to legal claims, and support representation before judicial or regulatory bodies.
- Collaborate with Company Secretary and Legal Head to ensure statutory compliance and board-level governance.
- 6. Leadership & Collaboration
- Display professional independence in managing responsibilities.
- Offer commercially viable solutions and flag critical matters to the Legal Head for resolution.
- Support Legal Head in collaborating with external law firms and advisors.
Eligibility
- LLB from a recognized university; additional qualifications (LLM, Company Secretary) will be a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of post-qualification experience in a reputed multinational or international law firm.
- Strong understanding of real estate, commercial contracts, and regulatory environments.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Strong commercial mindset with a practical, business-focused approach.
Salary/Stipend
