Details of the Job/Internship
Indus Valley Partners is hiring a Manager – Legal with 10+ years of experience to join their office in Noida. The role involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex legal documents across multiple jurisdictions, with a strong focus on India and the United States. Responsibilities include supporting strategic transactions, providing legal advice to internal teams, managing external counsel, and contributing to legal policies and best practices.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, NDAs, vendor agreements, licensing, partnership, and service agreements across jurisdictions.
- Participate in strategic transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, legal due diligence, and fundraising.
- Provide legal support and risk assessment to ensure compliance with local and international laws.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as Sales, Finance, HR, and Compliance to provide business-oriented legal advice.
- Advise on employment law and other relevant legal matters.
- Maintain and update internal contract templates and legal documentation.
- Manage relationships with external counsel.
- Contribute to developing legal policies, procedures, and best practices.
Eligibility
- LLB or equivalent legal degree.
- 10+ years of post-qualification experience, preferably with both top-tier law firm and in-house roles.
- Strong experience in multi-jurisdictional contract drafting and negotiation, including US laws.
- Understanding of international commercial law and regulatory frameworks.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
- High level of professional integrity and discretion.
- Experience in global or multinational organisations is preferred.
- Familiarity with fintech, software technology, or BPO/KPO regulatory requirements is an advantage.
- Proficiency in legal technology tools.
- Mandatory skills: Mergers and acquisitions, legal due diligence.
