Details of the Job/Internship
Leighton India is hiring a Manager – Legal with 10+ years of experience to support its legal and contractual functions.
Role and Responsibilities
- Review tender conditions and draft contracts to identify key risks and deviations from Work Procurement Standards.
- Conduct contract risk assessments and recommend appropriate risk treatment measures.
- Draft contracts, amendments, and qualifications, and support negotiations and execution formalities.
- Ensure contracts clearly define obligations, entitlements, and risk allocation for all parties.
- Handle various agreements, including head contracts, MOUs, joint venture agreements, NDAs, direct agreements, and PCGs.
- Engage and manage external legal advisers, including cost management.
- Manage internal legal approval processes.
- Support ethics and compliance initiatives, including guidance on the Group Code of Conduct, investigations, and reporting.
- Perform additional legal tasks as required by the business.
Eligibility
- Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.).
- Minimum 10+ years of post-qualification experience as in-house legal counsel, preferably in construction or mining services.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in construction projects.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in tender preparation.
