Details of the Job/Internship
Majid Al Futtaim is hiring a Manager – Legal with 6+ years of legal experience to support business operations across corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters.
Role and Responsibilities
- Review, draft, negotiate, and amend commercial agreements including leases, supply, services, and NDAs.
- Support legal due diligence and advise on business transactions, claims, liabilities, and litigation strategy.
- Ensure execution readiness by meeting approval, workflow, authority, and governance requirements prior to contract signature.
- Advise on competition law, antitrust regulations, sustainability, and third-party due diligence matters.
- Conduct in-depth legal research on laws, rulings, and regulations to identify risks and support business decisions.
- Develop legal strategies, arguments, and opinions based on precedent and factual analysis.
- Monitor and communicate changes in laws and regulations, including emerging legal trends.
- Analyse and review internal policies for legal accuracy and commercial alignment.
- Support legal operations, reporting, automation, standardisation, and governance initiatives.
- Assist in development and delivery of legal and compliance training programs.
- Provide mentorship, performance feedback, and on-the-job training to team members.
- Support manpower planning, capability development, and implementation of corporate policies.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, with a common law qualification strongly preferred.
- Minimum six years of legal experience in a common law jurisdiction.
- At least two years of experience in retail and/or FMCG sector.
- Strong ability to manage high-volume contracts with quality and accuracy.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritise legal risks and manage time and teams effectively.
- Fluency in English, with Arabic and French as an added advantage.
