Details of the Job/Internship
Epic Company is hiring a Manager – Legal with experience of 5–8 years to join their office in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft and negotiate complex contracts for motion pictures, OTT, and TV platforms from inception.
- Handle high-level licensing, syndication, distribution, and production agreements.
- Manage the company's litigation portfolio and draft or vet substantive legal notices.
- Review scripts for exploitation clearances and approve comprehensive chains of titles.
- Supervise contract administration and manage internal team workflows and HOD liaisons.
- Conduct high-level research on emerging laws including AI, DPDP, Arbitration, and Copyright.
- Ensure strict regulatory compliance across all media projects and business operations.
Eligibility
- 5–8 years of experience specifically within the Media & Entertainment industry.
- Strong command of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR).
- Proven expertise in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
- Exceptional English communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and thrive under high-pressure environments.
