Details of the Job/Internship

Voltas Limited is hiring a Manager Legal with 12–15 years of experience to join their office in Mumbai.

Role and Responsibilities

• Lead legal aspects of M&A transactions including due diligence, structuring, documentation, and post-deal integration.
• Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents such as term sheets, shareholder agreements, and SPAs.
• Liaise with external advisors, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
• Evaluate legal risks and advise senior management on acquisitions or divestitures.
• Factory-Level Legal Oversight (SPOC Role)
• Serve as the primary legal contact for factory operations.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws and internal policies.
• Manage legal issues related to manufacturing, vendor contracts, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Support factory leadership in disputes, inspections, and audits.
• Advise on labour law compliance and statutory obligations.
• Handle grievances, disputes, and litigation related to employees.
• Manage consumer complaints, legal notices, and litigation under the Consumer Protection Act.
• Coordinate with external counsel for court representation.
• Maintain litigation records and ensure timely compliance with court directives.
• Support legal aspects of commercial contracts, procurement, and project execution.
• Monitor regulatory changes and assess business impact.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
• Contribute to digital transformation initiatives.

Eligibility

• Law degree (LLB/LLM).
• 12–15 years of experience.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and litigation management skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Proven experience in handling end-to-end M&A transactions.
• Sound understanding of Indian corporate laws, labour laws, environmental regulations, and compliance frameworks.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
• Proficiency in legal research and documentation.
• Knowledge of indirect tax and international laws (especially Middle East) is an added advantage.
