Details of the Job/Internship

Oxford University Press is hiring a Manager – Rights & IP with experience in copyright and intellectual property to join their office in Noida. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Manage contracts from pre-execution to archival and retrieval stages.
• Ensure copyright-compliant and cost-effective sourcing of third-party content.
• Handle outbound licensing, including negotiations, contracts, and revenue allocation.
• Provide support on contract expiries, renewals, and metadata maintenance.
• Collaborate with Group Legal on complex IP issues and raise awareness of legal risks.
• Conduct third-party permissions research and track compliance and renewals.
• Supervise interns working on metadata for Rights Management Systems.
• Analyze contract templates and royalty payments across regions.
• Support audits and ensure proper mapping of rights sales data.
• Assist the finance team with sublicensing revenue and calculations.
• Validate rights status for licensing and deliver training on contracts and IP systems.

Eligibility

• Strong understanding of copyright law and best practices in rights and permissions.
• Familiarity with legal terminology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across cultures and organizational levels.
• High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential data.
• Desirable: Experience in training delivery and IP system demonstrations.
