Details of the Job/Internship

AMPIN Energy Transition is hiring for the position of Manager/Senior Manager - Land Acquisition with 8+ years of experience to join their office in Delhi. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Lead land acquisition efforts across Northern states, including identification, registration, due diligence, clearances, and approvals.
• Liaise with local authorities, stakeholders, and landowners to resolve on-ground issues and ensure smooth project execution.
• Manage land registration, contouring, commercial negotiations, and due diligence for land-related documentation and legal ownership.
• Handle interactions with government agencies, land aggregators, and address arbitration or litigation related to land disputes.
• Oversee processes related to Change of Land Use (CLU), conversion of forest/agricultural land to industrial use for solar power projects.
• Prepare and submit relevant legal documentation for Project Development and Finance teams.
• Gather and analyze information to proactively solve problems and mitigate risks in land acquisition.

Eligibility

• Minimum 8 years of experience in land acquisition, preferably involving large-scale projects in Northern India.
• Graduate in Law or a related field.
• Strong understanding of commercial terms, legal verification, title search, and due diligence processes.
• Experience in the solar or renewable energy sector and familiarity with state-specific land laws and regulations.
• Sound knowledge of Indian anti-bribery laws, FCPA (USA) compliance, and power sector regulatory landscape.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; a collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Salary/Stipend
