Details of the Job/Internship

Avighna India is looking for a qualified Manager or Senior Manager – Legal with  5 years of real estate law experience in India to lead their legal initiatives for real estate projects. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on land acquisition, title verification, RERA compliance, and real estate matters.
• Stay updated on laws like RERA, MOFA, TPA, and Stamp Act to ensure organizational compliance.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts including lease deeds, sale deeds, MOUs, JDAs, POAs, etc.
• Ensure all agreements are legally compliant and safeguard the company’s interests.
• Manage legal proceedings involving land disputes, tenancy, encroachments, and construction issues.
• Liaise with external counsel, brief lawyers, and represent the company before legal/regulatory bodies.
• Ensure compliance with municipal, zoning, and real estate regulations including RERA filings.
• Conduct legal due diligence for land/property and advise on associated legal risks.
• Coordinate with finance, development, and sales teams to communicate legal advice effectively.
• Maintain organized legal records, including contracts, litigation files, licenses, and approvals.

Eligibility

• LL.B. from a recognized law school; enrollment with the Bar Council of India is mandatory.
• 5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in real estate law.
• Proven experience in real estate contracts, RERA, land due diligence, litigation, and regulatory compliance.
• Prior in-house legal counsel experience with a developer or legal practice with a real estate focus is highly preferred.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Fluent in English and at least one regional language (preferably Marathi/Hindi).
• Proficient in legal research and documentation tools.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently.
