Details of the Job/Internship
Ahluwalia Contracts is hiring a Techno Legal Engineer to join their office in Delhi.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft and vet high-value contracts, tender documents, and claims.
- Review General Terms and Conditions (GCC & SCC) and assess legal risks in business operations.
- Handle contract negotiations and risk mitigation from tender stage to execution.
- Ensure compliance with the Law of Contracts and Arbitration and Conciliation Act.
- Work with construction contracts such as item rate, lump sum, cost-plus, and EPC based on CPWD and FIDIC standards.
- Manage arbitration and court cases arising from project disputes.
- Handle contract-related correspondence and guide site teams.
- Undertake claims management for project delays and disputes.
- Brief senior counsels and prepare management reports.
- Develop and implement risk assessment policies for tenders.
Eligibility
- Graduate or Diploma in Civil Engineering with a Degree in Law.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in the construction industry.
- Experience in contract drafting, negotiation, tender evaluation, and arbitration.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure legal matters and risk management.
- Ability to manage national and international contracts.
