Details of the Job/Internship
D. E. Shaw India Private Limited is hiring a Manager / Senior Manager / Associate Director – Legal & Compliance with 7–16 years of experience to join its Financial Operations Group in Hyderabad, Gurugram, or Bengaluru.
Role and Responsibilities
- Assist in documentation for new fund launches and capital raising in existing funds.
- Draft and review side letters, conduct compliance monitoring, and support negotiations.
- Participate in entity formation processes during fund launches.
- Collaborate with investor relations, communications, business development, and investment teams on marketing and reporting materials.
- Support compliance and regulatory aspects of the firm’s trading activities.
- Research and summarize global futures, equities, and options exchange rules.
Eligibility
- Law degree from a recognized institution.
- 7–16 years of relevant experience in a law firm or in-house role.
- Experience in alternative investment funds, mutual funds, securities offerings, or corporate transactional work.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of U.S. investment management laws and regulations is preferred.
