Details of the Job/Internship

Priceline is hiring for the position of Managing Counsel, Flights with 4-6 years of experience to join their office in Mumbai. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Lead Commercial Deals: Support Priceline’s Legal and Flights teams in negotiating deals with airlines and travel service providers, particularly across the APAC region and globally.
• Advise on Regulations: Collaborate with external counsel to navigate travel regulations, licensing requirements, and IATA accreditations in multiple jurisdictions.
• Be a Strategic Advisor: Gain exposure to a wide array of legal areas—Commercial, Corporate, Finance, and Tax—and become a go-to advisor for internal stakeholders.
• Support Global Growth: Work with Finance, Sales, and Operations to help expand Priceline’s international presence and Flights operations.
• Drive Market Expansion: Assist in setting up new offices or legal entities globally and help build Priceline’s international footprint alongside Booking Holdings’ sister brands.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with colleagues across departments and senior executives globally.
• Lead with Impact: Manage a small legal team based in Mumbai, including privacy, legal operations, and contracting professionals.

Eligibility

• 4–6 years of legal experience as a qualified attorney, with at least a few years in a top-tier law firm in India or abroad.
• Strong in-house commercial contracting background.
• Exceptional legal drafting and analytical skills.
• Prior management experience is preferred.
• Experience with travel industry contracts, especially in flights (airlines, consolidators, GDS), is a plus.
• Regulatory know-how in travel or adjacent industries is a bonus.
• Proven ability to juggle commercial, corporate, and regulatory workstreams.
• Skilled in managing multiple priorities and maintaining organization in fast-paced environments.
