Details of the Job/Internship

Decoding Legal is hiring for the position of Manger Legal/Senior Manager Legal with 5+ years of experience to join their Mumbai office. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Court Representations: Act as the primary point of contact for all litigation matters, coordinating and representing the company in court hearings.
• Dispute Resolution: Handle and resolve legal disputes, including commercial, contractual, and employment-related cases.
• Legal Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify and manage legal risks and ensure litigation strategy aligns with corporate objectives.
• External Counsel Liaison: Manage and collaborate with external legal firms for complex litigation matters.
• Contract Drafting & Review: Draft, review, and negotiate various types of contracts (business, vendor, client, etc.) to ensure legal compliance and protect the company’s interests.
• Corporate Governance: Provide legal counsel on corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory issues.
• Legal Compliance: Advise internal teams on the legal implications of business decisions and ensure the company complies with applicable laws and regulations.
• Intellectual Property Management: Oversee IP-related matters, including trademarks, patents, and copyrights.
• Legal Research & Analysis: Conduct legal research to stay up-to-date on relevant changes in laws and regulations that impact the business.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal departments like HR, Finance, and Operations to ensure seamless legal support across all functions.
• Documentation & Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of legal documents, proceedings, and contracts.

Eligibility

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a legal professional, with a strong background in both litigation and non-litigation aspects of law.
• Industry Knowledge: Previous experience in the IT, Telecom, E-com, services industry is highly preferred.
• Strong legal research, drafting, and negotiation skills.
• Expertise in litigation strategy and handling dispute resolutions.
• Familiarity with corporate governance, compliance, and intellectual property law.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
• Education: LLB (Law degree) from a reputed institution; additional qualifications or certifications in corporate law or intellectual property law are a plus.
