FedEx is hiring a Managing Director (MD) - Legal  to join their office in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Lead functional legal teams to execute effective regional strategies and plans.
• Act as a leadership role model, upholding the highest ethical and professional standards within the organization.
• Provide expert legal advice to Officers and Directors on business-critical trends, risks, and unique legal issues.
• Manage and control complex, high-impact legal programs and strategic planning across various regions.
• Oversee functional budgets, ensuring financial objectives are met while optimizing investments and reducing costs.
• Ensure strict compliance with company policies and external regulatory legal requirements across all team activities.
• Develop mid-to-long-range (2+ years) functional plans aligned with regional and corporate goals.
• Cultivate a proactive, safety-focused working environment and empower teams to create innovative solutions.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with global stakeholders, customers, and regulatory bodies.

Eligibility

• Law degree from a recognized university.
• Significant experience in a senior leadership or executive legal role, preferably within a multinational corporation.
• Proven track record in strategic planning, financial management, and risk mitigation.
• Strong expertise in international regulatory frameworks and corporate governance.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and lead large, diverse teams.
