Details of the Job/Internship
SVS Studio is hiring for the position of Media lawyer to join their office in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts related to talent, production, distribution, and licensing.
- Provide legal counsel on copyright, intellectual property, and media rights issues.
- Handle clearance processes and advise on defamation, privacy, and other content-related risks.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with external counsel, industry bodies, and regulatory authorities as needed.
Eligibility
- Law degree from a recognized institution and active bar membership in India.
- Prior experience in entertainment or media law, particularly in film or television production.
- In-depth understanding of IP law, copyright, and media regulations.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
