Details of the Job/Internship
Ullu is hiring a Media Lawyer with 3-4 years of experience to join their office in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and support on all aspects of media content, including television, film, print, digital, and social media.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including licensing agreements, distribution deals, talent agreements, and content rights.
- Advise on intellectual property issues including copyright, trademark, and image rights.
- Handle defamation, privacy, and reputation management matters.
- Support regulatory compliance, including advertising standards and broadcast regulations.
- Advise on content clearance and pre-publication review processes.
- Monitor and manage legal risks, ensuring company practices comply with relevant laws and industry standards.
- Liaise with external legal counsel as needed.
- Keep the team updated on relevant legal developments affecting the media and entertainment landscape.
Eligibility
- Law degree and valid license to practice law in [Jurisdiction].
- 3–7 years of post-qualification experience in media law, either in-house or at a law firm.
- Strong knowledge of intellectual property, contract, and media law.
- Experience working with content producers, publishers, studios, or digital platforms.
- Excellent negotiation, drafting, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
