Vivekananda School of Law and Legal Studies (VSLLS) of Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies (VIPS) is committed to realizing the words of Swami Vivekananda: “Man Making, Character Building and Nation Building”. Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies is affiliated with Guru Gobind Indraprastha University, recognized by Bar Council of India and UGC under section 2(f), with NAAC ‘A++’ accreditation, is well known for its robust efforts in legal education. Dr. S.C. Vats, Chairman, of VIPS, a great philanthropist and educationist believes in perfection. Thus, the motto of VIPS is “in pursuit of perfection”. With his broad vision and guidance, since the inception of VIPS, in the year 2000, it has produced nineteen gold medallists, twenty-plus judicial officers along with lawyers placed with highly reputed industries, law firms and senior advocates as also government and non-government establishments. Currently, the Law School of VIPS is running the programmes B.A.LL.B., B.B.A.LL.B., and LL.M. in its own hi-tech, Wi-Fi-enabled campus in Delhi. Students with higher ranks in CET conducted by GGSIP University are preferring admission to VIPS.
VSLLS Youth Parliament is a platform for the young minds of India to come forward and extend their Fundamental Right to free speech and expression into political debates and discussions about the growing nation of India with a sense of security and elucidate their thoughts and perceptions. VSLLS Youth Parliament Society through its national level events organizes simulations of the parliamentary proceedings of legislature and executive, based upon the Indian Parliamentary system. We aim to promote INDIA AMONG INDIANS and to enhance and strengthen the socio-political fabric of our country.
Details of the MUN/Debate/Competition
The Youth Parliament Society of VSLLS, VIPS-TC is honoured to introduce the 3rd Edition of VSLLS Youth Parliament, a prestigious platform for young minds to exercise their right to free speech, discuss national concerns, and influence discourse on India’s growth and governance. As it is said, "History is written by victors." At VSLLS Youth Parliament, we believe that history is made when diverse minds come together.
VSLLS Youth Parliament 2025 is a competing simulation or a conference through which students, by simulating bodies and houses of the Indian Parliament, learn about diplomacy, effective communication, national/international relations and politics, and the working of the parliament in general. The participants taking part in a Youth Parliament conference are called delegates. Once they apply for a conference, they are assigned to different committees as representatives of political figures or organizations. They do not go blindly to the simulation but are given tasks and preparation materials that they need to explore before they arrive at the venue.
Objectives of VYP 2025:
- Foster analytical thinking and debating skills.
- Encourage awareness of national and international politics.
- Promote leadership and decision-making abilities.
- Enhance understanding of the Indian parliamentary system.
Committees and Agendas:
- All India Political Parties Meet (AIPPM): Discussion on the Distressing Situation of Indian Immigrants Being Forced to Return from the USA
- National Commission for Women (NCW): Changes in Vishaka Guideline and POSH with special emphasis on Internal Complaint Committee.
- Lok Sabha: Discussion & Deliberation upon implementation of One Nation One Election.
- Historic Crisis Committee (HCC): Lok Sabha’s 50th session - 2nd November 1976- The 42nd Amendment.
- Delhi Vidhan Sabha [Beginner Committee (Less than ten Youth Parliament/MUN experience)]: Last Session before 2025 Delhi election.
- Hindustan Press: Reporters, Photographers and Caricaturists.
Eligibility
This VSLLS Youth Parliament conference is open to all students regardless of discipline or institutional affiliation.
Venue
The conference will be held in an in campus/offline mode at Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies – Technical Campus, Outer Ring Road, AU Block, Ranikhet, Pitampura, New Delhi, Delhi, 11003.
