Details of the Organization
NLSIU was the first National Law University established in India in 1986. The premier law school was set up with a mission to pioneer legal education reforms, and to anchor the transformation of the Indian legal system through research and policy interventions.
Consequently, the NLSIU was one of the first institutions in the country to introduce the five-year integrated law degree at the undergraduate level with the commencement of the first batch in 1988.
Details of the Blog/Paper
The NLS Blog is a platform that publishes original research by faculty and research scholars at NLSIU. The Blog will consolidate research and analysis in various fields and is a part of the overall re-organisation of research publications to achieve and sustain internationally peer-recognised scholarly outputs.

All submissions must be accompanied by:
- An author bio (3-4 lines), and social media handles
- A concise summary of the submission (1-2 lines), along with 3-4 keywords
Topic of paper/Blog
NLS Blog welcomes submissions under the following categories:
- Original research: pieces based on recently concluded or ongoing research, preferably focused on primary material
- Commentary: case comments, comments on new legislations and policy developments
- Reviews: analytical responses to books, articles, and other relevant publications
- Short pieces based on longer research articles, seminars, or presentations
- What to avoid: opinion pieces, how-to pieces, and explainers
Eligibility
Anyone who wants to write on the topic given above can write and submit.
Types of Submission and Word Limit
- Submissions must be between 800 and 1,200 words in length. We may consider publishing longer pieces in parts.
- All sources must be hyperlinked in the body of the text. For offline references, please use endnotes.

Academic blogs are an excellent way for scholarly as well as wider audiences to discover and engage with your work. We encourage the use of clear, concise and accessible language.
