Details of the Blog/Paper

The objective of the Centre for Criminal Law Studies (Centre) of National Law University, Jodhpur is to carry out intense research work in issues relating to the Criminal Justice System in India. In its long-term existence, the Centre has submitted comprehensive policy papers on Investigation and Prosecution to law reforms committee. Currently, the Centre undertakes research in specified areas; namely; Criminology, Criminal Psychology, International Criminal Law and Justice, Police Sciences, Investigation and Prison Administration.

With the object of furthering discussion on criminal law, The Criminal Law Blog welcomes submissions.

Topic of paper/Blog

The area of criminal law is not restricted and the blog intends to publish entries coming from domestic as well as international criminal law.

Eligibility

Students, Academicians, Law Practitioners, and every Criminal Law enthusiast. 

Types of Submission and Word Limit

Centre for Criminal Law Studies prefers an article that does not exceed 1,500. However, flexibility is allowed if the content so requires, and the quality is ensured.

Submission Guidelines

1. The article should be an original work of the author and not under consideration for publication in any other journal or blog. The work should not be plagiarised.
2. Co-authorship is allowed for the articles.
3. The content should be written in Times New Roman Font with a size of 12. Line Spacing is to be maintained at 1.5.
4. All the relevant sources must be duly acknowledged and hyperlinked in the text of the submission itself.
5. The article must be submitted in an MS Word document.
6. The article must include a brief description of the author; preferably, not more than two sentences.
7. The authors are encouraged to provide a relevant photograph regarding the subject matter of the article if they wish a photographic preview in the blog posts and social media updates.
8. The authors shall receive an acknowledgement email on the receipt of the article by the Editorial Board. In case this does not happen, kindly re-send the article. Once the Editorial Board acknowledges the receipt of an article, it will go through a rigorous editorial process and the decision about its acceptance or rejection shall be communicated to the authors within 14 days.
9. The copyright over the articles shall automatically transfer to the University through the Editorial Board. Therefore, all the articles shall be reposted to the University’s digital repository and shared on various social media platforms.
10. However, the centre allows the reposting of published blog posts on other platforms. However, the second publication should be allowed only with the prior permission of the Editors. The second publication should duly acknowledge the publication on this blog. It may be done by stating that: [first posted on The Criminal Law Blog on dd/mm/yy].
11. In relation to all the disputes, the decision of the Editorial Board shall be final and binding.
