Details of the Job/Internship

DMart - Avenue Supermarts Ltd is hiring for the position of Non-Litigation Lead (Regional) with 14 years of experience to join their office in Mumbai. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive due diligence of land and property titles, particularly in North India.
• Structure and execute property acquisition transactions, ensuring legal compliance and minimizing risk.
• Vet, draft, and review a wide range of real estate-related documents including:
• Agreement for Sale
• Lease/Leave & License Agreements
• Development Agreements
• Deed of Conveyance
• Tenancy Agreements
• Deed of Gift
• Mortgage, Hypothecation, Pledge documents
• Power of Attorney, Affidavits, and related instruments
• Lead a team of legal executives to ensure timely, accurate, and legally compliant support across business units.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Business Development teams, and external stakeholders including law firms, advocates, solicitors, and developers.
• Build and implement best-in-class legal processes and systems to improve team efficiency and performance.
• Provide legal inputs on interpreting revenue records, mutation documents, and related property laws.

Eligibility

Educational Qualifications

• LL.B. from a recognized university.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 14 years of experience, preferably in the real estate or retail industry.
• Strong exposure to property law, title search, revenue proceedings, and non-litigation legal functions.
