Details of the Job/Internship
DMart - Avenue Supermarts Ltd. is hiring a Non-Litigation Lead for the North Region with a minimum of 14 years of experience to join their Head Office in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Conduct land due diligence and structure acquisitions.
- Lead the end-to-end legal documentation process for property acquisitions.
- Vet documents including Agreement for Sale, Lease Agreements, Leave & License Agreements, Development Agreements, Deed of Conveyance, Tenancy Agreements, Mortgage-related documents, Powers of Attorney, Affidavits, etc.
- Guide and manage a team of executives to ensure timely and quality legal support.
- Interact with law firms, advocates, solicitors, business development teams, and developers.
- Establish best-in-class legal systems and processes.
- Ensure full compliance with legal and revenue-related property laws.
Eligibility
- LLB degree.
- Minimum 14 years of legal practice in a real estate or retail environment.
- Strong experience in property law, title search, and revenue-related proceedings.
- Expertise in commercial drafting and knowledge of North Indian property laws.
- Familiarity with court procedures and interpreting revenue records.
