Details of the Job/Internship

The Suzlon Group is hiring for the position of OMS Legal with 8 years of experience to join their office in Pune.

Role and Responsibilities

Contract Management & Negotiation

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including O&M contracts, vendor/service agreements, NDAs, MoUs, and term sheets.
• Ensure alignment of contracts with business objectives, allied agreements, risk strategies, and compliance requirements.
• Maintain and update contract templates, playbooks, and guidelines in line with evolving business and legal needs.

Legal Advisory & Compliance

• Provide strategic legal advice on operational and day-to-day issues across OMS functions.
• Advise on statutory and regulatory compliance within the energy/infrastructure sector.
• Stay updated on emerging legal developments, case laws, and industry best practices.

Dispute Resolution & Litigation

• Manage pre-litigation strategy and coordinate with external counsel for disputes.
• Draft and review legal notices, responses, and pleadings for courts and tribunals.
• Engage in negotiations with stakeholders to mitigate risks and avoid litigation.

Eligibility

• Law degree (LL.B. / LL.M.) from a leading university or law school.
• Minimum 8 years of PQE in a law firm and/or in-house role.
• Proven expertise in:
• Drafting, negotiating, and managing commercial contracts.
• Providing in-house legal advisory and risk mitigation.
• Handling dispute resolution and litigation management.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks in infrastructure/energy sectors.
• Skilled in drafting notices, replies, pleadings, and business agreements.
