Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and assist in negotiating contracts, subcontracts, and other agreements.
- Maintain and organize a database of executed contracts and monitor deadlines and obligations.
- Conduct legal research on construction-related laws and regulations, providing summaries to the legal team.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and national regulations.
- Assist in filing and maintaining licenses, permits, and certifications for projects.
- Gather and organize documents for disputes, claims, and litigation.
- Draft correspondence related to claims and contract disputes.
- Maintain and organize legal documentation, including contracts and correspondence.
- Act as a liaison between the company, external legal counsel, and regulatory authorities.
- Provide administrative support, including scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, and tracking deadlines.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Paralegal Studies, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in a legal or paralegal role (construction industry experience preferred).
- Strong understanding of contract law and compliance in the construction sector.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and legal research tools.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
