Details of the Job/Internship
Capri Holdings Limited is hiring a Paralegal to join their office in the London Area.
Role and Responsibilities
Company Secretarial and Governance:
- Ownership of organizational documents (e.g. board and shareholder resolutions, minutes of meetings, and powers of attorney) for the European entities
- Ownership of annual filings or updates relating to ultimate beneficial ownership and other regulatory requirements for the European entities
- Working closely with the finance team for annual statutory filings and auditor appointments
- Keeping up to date company records (e.g. registry Extracts)
- Working with external legal counsel on all corporate matters
Commercial:
- Reviewing and drafting commercial contracts under instruction/supervision (including NDAs, termination agreements, IT contracts, Statements of Work, and marketing agreements)
- Managing signature and filing process for documents
- Reviewing consumer terms and conditions and promotional materials
- Working with internal stakeholders to support commercial contracts
- Supporting any enforcement actions, investigations, and customer complaints
Real Estate & Retail
- Assisting the Capri legal department across all real estate & retail matters in Europe
- Working with internal stakeholders and liaising with external counsel for all lease matters
- Document management: managing the signature process and filing
- Maintaining accurate records
Privacy:
- Assisting the Capri legal team with monitoring privacy inboxes and data subject requests; keeping relevant privacy records updated
Legal research:
- Conducting relevant legal research
- Staying up to date with new legislation and enforcement trends
Administrative:
- Keeping various department guides/trackers up to date with key contractual processes, contacts, and progress status.
- Maintaining relevant systems in place, including legal filing, archiving, and legal databases.
- Supporting with signatures, filing, document delivery, and mail.
- Monitoring and managing legal and privacy inboxes.
- Invoice management for key vendors.
- Calendar management, coordinate and arrange internal and external meetings, prepare agendas, reserve and prepare meeting spaces. Coordinate with external lawyers and the Capri legal team.
Eligibility
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and ability to communicate with all levels of the company including senior management.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to multi-task, establish priorities,ies, and problem-solve.
- Strong time management, project management, and workload management skills.
- Must have a strong sense of ownership, teamwork, responsibility, and initiative.
- Strong knowledge of computer systems and applications with a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, & PowerPoint.
- Law Degree or SQE 1 required, SQE2 preferable.
- Prior working experience in a corporate office environment is preferable.
Salary/Stipend
