Details of the Job/Internship
CWB Limited is hiring a Paralegal with experience of 2 to 5 years to join their office in Jordan.
Role and Responsibilities
- Assisting in the management of IP portfolios;
- Preparing translations, correspondence, and reports for clients, agents and government authorities;
- Preparing trademark applications;
- Assisting with IP audits;
- Assisting with obtaining corporate and product information;
- Assisting with conducting legal and market research;
- Preparing cost estimates;
- Drafting legal documents;
- Following up on the progress of trademark applications;
- Reporting progress of applications to clients;
- Reporting on the upcoming expiry of trademark registrations and seeking instructions to renew and maintain their validity;
- Ensuring that all progress is updated on the intellectual property management software (IPMS);
- Cross-checking client requests with any official documents that have been issued from the trademark office;
- Updating clients’ online systems with the progress of their trademarks; and
- Attending to any other tasks of a similar nature that may be assigned.
Eligibility
- 2-5 years of experience in professional services.
- Experience in intellectual property (IP) is preferred.
- Excellent Arabic and English and an ability to translate between the two.
- French is a plus.
- Experience using basic programs is essential.
- Experience using intellectual property databases is a plus.
