Details of the Job/Internship
Hitachi Energy is hiring a Paralegal to join its Legal Operations Team in Bengaluru. The role involves supporting the Global Legal & Integrity Team by handling contracts, drafting and reviewing legal documents, and assisting in compliance and integrity functions.
Role and Responsibilities
- Assist lawyers in drafting, reviewing, and amending contracts including NDA, Sales Contracts, and GTCs.
- Edit and proofread various contracts and draft legal correspondence.
- Identify and mitigate risks and ensure high-quality document delivery.
- Summarize key provisions from contracts.
- Support development of services for the legal & integrity function.
- Assist Integrity functions with audits and investigations, including note-taking and preparing statements.
- Ensure compliance with external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
- Uphold Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity.
Eligibility
- LL.B. / B.L. from a recognised university.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience with tools like Salesforce, CLM tools, or Compliance desktop is preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft O365, including MS Lists, Teams, Word, and Excel.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
