ICAEW is looking for a candidate for the position of Paralegal to join them at their office in Milton Keynes.
Role and Responsibilities
- Drafting submissions, applications, and other legal documents for our Professional Standards Department committees and tribunals.
- Helping prepare witness statements and conducting legal research to support investigations.
- Organising case bundles and preparing cost schedules, ensuring everything is accurate and on time.
- Handling general administrative duties such as correspondence, filing, and processing purchase orders.
- Taking responsibility for the progress of cases at various stages, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently.
Eligibility
- A foundation in law, whether through education, paralegal training, or equivalent experience (experience in a contentious area would be advantageous.)
- Excellent organisation and communication skills to manage a busy and varied workload.
- A sharp eye for detail and strong analytical skills to deliver high-quality work.
- The ability to meet deadlines and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- A team-player attitude and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- An interest in understanding the role of a professional and regulatory body and the legal principles that guide its work.
