Details of the Job/Internship

Khemka & Associates is hiring a Paralegal to join their office in Mumbai.

• Flexibility to work Monday to Saturday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, with 2nd and 4th Saturdays off.

Role and Responsibilities

• Manage and organize case files, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for advocates.
• Prepare legal documents for physical filing in courts and e-filing of matters as per court requirements.
• Assist advocates in drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Coordinate with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in legal proceedings, including scheduling meetings and appointments.
• Assist in trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, witness materials, and courtroom logistics.
• Draft correspondence, including letters and emails, on behalf of advocates and clients.
• Maintain and update case management systems and databases with relevant case information.
• Review and summarize legal documents, contracts, and discovery materials for advocate review.
• Conduct legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and legal articles to support case preparation.
• Stay informed about changes in laws and regulations relevant to the firm's practice

Eligibility

• Bachelor's degree in Law from a recognized institution.
• Proficiency in both English and Marathi languages for effective communication.
• Technical proficiency in legal software and tools for document management and research.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Prior experience in a legal setting, preferably in litigation, is advantageous.
