Details of the Job/Internship
Saint-Gobain Research India is hiring a Patent Paralegal / Docketing Professional with experience of 1–2 years to join their IP team in Chennai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Assist patent agents in managing patent and design portfolios.
- Handle patent filings, prosecution, and compliance with Indian and PCT procedures.
- Prepare reports and assist during hearings.
- Coordinate with foreign agents and track global filings.
- Manage renewals, annuities, and patent publications.
- Liaise with patent offices for follow-ups and status updates.
- Maintain documentation, invoicing, and archiving records.
- Support meetings, scheduling, and internal coordination.
- Draft and review legal documents such as powers of attorney, petitions, and assignments.
- Manage electronic document systems and workflow processes.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certification.
- 1–2 years of experience in a patent paralegal role.
- Knowledge of Indian patent prosecution and PCT procedures.
- Experience in patent filings, forms, and timelines.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools.
- Familiarity with data systems like Anaqua or Memotech (preferred).
- Strong organisational, communication, and multitasking skills.
