Details of the Job/Internship
Sarji Law Firm is hiring a Paralegal with 1–3 years of South Carolina Civil Litigation experience to join their office in Charleston, SC. Remote candidates residing in South Carolina may be considered. The role requires strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while supporting family law matters.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft pleadings, motions, correspondence, and other legal documents.
- Manage case files and ensure all deadlines are met.
- Conduct legal research and gather case-related information.
- Communicate professionally with clients, attorneys, and court personnel.
- Support attorneys in all aspects of family law cases.
- Manage correspondence effectively.
Eligibility
- Minimum of 1–3 years of South Carolina Civil Litigation experience; preference for candidates with South Carolina Family Law experience.
- Familiarity with the South Carolina Rules of Civil Procedure.
- Highly self-motivated, with the ability to work effectively from home (for remote applicants).
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Reliable internet connection and a dedicated workspace (for remote applicants).
- Ability to accurately track and record billable and non-billable time in the case management system.
