Details of the Job/Internship

Vernis & Bowling is hiring a Paralegal with experience of 3 years to join their office in Florida.

Role and Responsibilities

• Summarizes records and court files.
• Schedule couriers, court reporters, expert witnesses & other special functions.
• Research sources such as statutes, judicial decisions, legal articles, constitutions, and public records.
• Drafts, prepares and performs limited reviews of legal documents such as briefs, pleadings,discovery materials, appeals and contracts.
• Assists in trial preparation and discovery practices such as gathering and organizing exhibits, trial data, documents, and other materials in response to subpoenas, discovery requests, interrogatories, motions for summary judgments, etc.
• Serves as a limited liaison between counsel,clients, experts, witnesses, third parties, and other outside contacts.
• Maintain attorney's calendar by planning and scheduling conferences, teleconferences, and depositions.

Eligibility

• The ideal paralegal candidate for thisposition will have a minimum of 3 years of generalli ability defense experience, although training is available for the right candidates.

Salary/Stipend

Compensation details will be finalized during the interview process with the selected candidate.
