Details of the Job/Internship
WhiteFern LLC is hiring a Paralegal with at least 2 years of relevant experience to join their office in Singapore. This is a full-time role within a high-performing team in a fast-paced professional services environment.
Role and Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough legal research and assist in analysing case facts and legal precedents to develop case strategies and arguments.
- Draft, format, and review legal documents, including pleadings, affidavits, submissions, correspondence, and opinions.
- Communicate with clients and insureds to obtain information, provide case updates, attend meetings, and assist in witness interviews with lawyers.
- Organise and maintain case files, including correspondence, cause papers, and evidence, and manage case calendars and deadlines to ensure timely filings and responses.
- Assist lawyers in court filings and trial preparation.
- Perform administrative tasks, including maintaining case files, supporting the billing process, and coordinating with office staff to ensure smooth operations.
Eligibility
- Diploma in Law & Management or similar qualification.
- Alternatively, at least 2 years of relevant work experience as a paralegal or in a similar role, preferably with exposure to insurance work.
- Proficiency in workplace technology tools, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), case management systems, and electronic communication platforms.
- Proficiency with e-Litigation preferred.
- Strong understanding of the Singapore legal system and court procedures.
- Proficiency in legal research tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages is an advantage.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
