Details of the Job/Internship

Auro.edu is hiring for the position of Legal Counsel with 5-10 years of experience to join their office remotely. 

• This is a Part Time role. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on corporate, securities, fintech, and digital asset regulations under Indian and US law.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, partnership agreements, and NDAs.
• Represent Auro Digital Inc. in Indian courts, tribunals, and regulatory proceedings as required.
• Support fundraising, token issuance, and investment structuring in compliance with Indian, US, and international laws.
• Advise on intellectual property, data privacy, cybersecurity, and technology-related agreements.
• Manage regulatory filings, licensing, and liaison with legal authorities in India and the US.
• Develop and implement risk mitigation policies, compliance frameworks, and internal legal processes.
• Partner with cross-functional teams (Product, Finance, Operations) to ensure legal and regulatory alignment.

Eligibility

• LL.B. degree (mandatory); LL.M. or US law qualification strongly preferred.
• 5–10 years of experience in corporate law, fintech, or digital assets, with exposure to both Indian and US jurisdictions.
• Proven track record of representing firms in Indian courts and managing cross-border legal issues.
• Strong understanding of:
• Indian Companies Act, FEMA, Securities Laws, and Data Privacy
• US Securities Law (SEC, FinCEN) and fintech regulations
• Demonstrated expertise in contract drafting, investment agreements, and negotiations.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage complex, cross-border matters.
