Details of the Job/Internship

Anand and Anand's firm is hiring for a Patent Associate to work with their Noida Office. As a Patent Associate specializing in Mechanical Engineering, you will be responsible for assisting clients in protecting their inventions by drafting, prosecuting, and managing patent applications related to mechanical innovations. You will work closely with inventors, attorneys, and patent examiners to secure intellectual property rights for novel mechanical devices, systems, and processes.

Role and Responsibilities

• Patent Drafting: Prepare detailed and accurate patent applications that effectively describe the mechanical aspects of inventions, including drawings, specifications, and claims.
• Patent Prosecution: Manage the patent prosecution process, including responding to office actions from patent examiners, conducting prior art searches, and preparing legal arguments to support patentability.
• Technical Analysis: Conduct in-depth technical analysis of inventions to assess patentability and identify potential infringement risks. Provide technical expertise to support patent litigation and licensing efforts.
• Legal Research: Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and legal precedents related to patents and intellectual property rights. Conduct legal research to support patent prosecution and litigation efforts.
• Client Communication: Communicate with inventors, clients, and stakeholders to understand the technical nuances of inventions and develop effective patent strategies to protect intellectual property rights.

Eligibility

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is mandatory.
• Strong technical background in mechanical engineering, with expertise in areas such as machine design, materials science, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Proficiency in patent drafting and prosecution procedures, with experience using patent search databases and drafting tools.
• Prior experience in patent law or intellectual property practice is preferred.
